Verse 1 Adam’s curse and castle’s hassle Turn me in to quite the asshole As I’m aware, it’s true Days collecting twigs in branches Leave little place for chances To reflect on what we build Artist’s hands adorned with callous As we strive to fill this palace decorate our little tomb Chorus 1 Monday, My mind drifts to the afternoon, When this is over, And I’m back at home with you Verse 2 Not from much, it’s why we’re building A better life for both our children A world made brand new Oh vanity of vanities Stuck between both want and need With competing pride and guilt Fated as the king of Corinth It’s worth it if i’m home with This beautiful lady and our brood Chorus 2 Tuesday, My mind drifts to the afternoon, When this is over, And I’m back at home with you Wednesday, My mind drifts to the afternoon, When this is over, And I’m back at home with you Whistle Solo Chorus 3 Thursday, My mind drifts to the afternoon, When this is over, And I’m back at home with you Friday, My mind drifts to the afternoon, When this is over, And I’m back at home with you

Saplings older than our founding pride Granite piled over a mile high Coastal peaks just out of sight In the shadow of western gods Glacial remains from a former age Quiet points where no head has laid More to see than I have days In the shadow of western gods I’ve seen it all I’ve seen it all I’ve seen it all And I feel small At seven thousand feet it’s surreal Doubting all you see and feel Waiting for the paint to peel In the shadow of western gods Deities born of ancient texts Children, these giants attest Under branch become the blessed In the shadow of western gods I’ve seen it all I’ve seen it all I’ve seen it all And I feel small Marvel in the shadow of western gods Wonder at the sights from above There is nothing new beneath the sun Stand in awe become undone I’ve seen it all I’ve seen it all I’ve seen it all And I feel small

Been watchin' all the news come across the TV There's a virus in the air and crowds for TP Some say we're unprepared I watch Mike and Amy They seem to have some idea Of what might save me And I'm sitting in the basement of my home Playing my guitar, practically alone We are a solitary bunch The type who never leave the house In a game of tag we're on the base In hide-and-seek we're never found We're so excited We live on quarantine The kids are in their rooms School's out for summer Endless free time to play games Watch TV and wonder Where they got this endless glut of leisure and slumber Aloof to the threat that it seems we're under And it might be more serious than they know They're just glad that they're home We are a solitary bunch The type who never leave the house In a game of tag we're on the base In hide-and-seek we're never found We're so excited We live on quarantine We are a solitary bunch The type who never leave the house In a game of tag we're on the base In hide-and-seek we're never found We're so excited We live on quarantine And I don't know what to think I've never seen the world shut down I hope everyone is safe Just glad to be at my house I'll make the most of it Sitting with you here right now We are a solitary bunch The type who never leave the house In a game of tag we're on the base In hide-and-seek we're never found We're so excited We live on quarantine We are a solitary bunch The type who never leave the house In a game of tag we're on the base In hide-and-seek we're never found We're so excited We live on quarantine

Rest with Me 04:54
Formless and void Hovered above the water We came together The day, the night Pulling both/ the sea and sky Asunder From the dawn Building life from none I Would never change a day of it The dark, the light, the parting water I Would never change a day of it In fire and flood we form each other In fire and flood we form each other The sprouts and leaves Flourishing in the garden We plant together Two of our kind Fragments of us/ to weave, to shape, to color From the dawn Building life from none I Would never change a day of it The dark, the light, the parting water I Would never change a day of it In fire and flood we form each other I Would never change a day of it The beasts, the toil, the pain of labor I Would never change a day of it In fire and flood we form each other Fire and flood we form each other These short years We’ve made a world together Rest with me All that we’ve made, see that it is good I Would never change a day of it The dark, the light, the parting water I Would never change a day of it In fire and flood we form each other I Would never change a day of it The beasts, the toil, the pain of labor I Would never change a day of it In fire and flood we form each other Fire and flood we form each other

How often do I clean my car How often do I clean my bathroom How often do I clean everything I own And how thorough I need to wash my hands today There's just no way around it And if I wash ten times today I should feel good about it How often do they clean this place How often do they clean this bathroom How often do they clean everything around me And how thorough I need to wash my hands today There's just no way around it And if I wash ten times today I should feel good about it Twenty seconds with soap and water Twenty seconds with soap and water I need to wash my hands today There's just no way around it The average person pees six times Poops one time Eats three times And touches Everything Everywhere Everyday I need to wash my hands today There's just no way around it And if I wash ten times today I should feel good about it Twenty seconds with soap and water Twenty seconds with soap and water I need to wash my hands today There's just no way around it Twenty seconds with soap and water Twenty seconds with soap and water

Verse 1 The prophet Samuel warned the people, About their desired monarchy. They'd lose their sons, their daughters, their fields And to destruction it would lead. Chorus 1 Obey the people in what they say They don't reject you, they're rejecting me. Oh Israel, have your king Verse 2 Son of Kish could lead an army. Place Israel's enemies beneath her feet. Hundreds thousands strong, armed and marching Against man, woman, child, ox, and sheep. Chorus 2 Obey the people in what they say They don't reject you, they're rejecting me. Oh Israel, have your king Bridge My biggest issue with this allegory, Are Saul's crimes in this story. God asked him for wholesale slaughter: Man, woman, animal, sons and daughters. Saul performed the genocide, But let some sheep and oxen abide. I guess it's a lesson in obedience, That I find my heart completely poised against. Chorus 3 Obey the people in what they say They don't reject you, they're rejecting me. Oh Israel, have your king A champion to crush your enemies Man, woman, and child beneath your feet. Oh Israel, you can have your king. Oh Israel, you can have your king. Oh Israel, you can have your king.

about

Gabe Schwartz Ohio

Witness the sight of a middle-aged man trying hard to not seem like he's trying hard and spiraling in shame because of it. Drink in the self interest masquerading as self effacing in the midst of self serving self deprecation.
Gabe Schwartz is a nominal musician and songwriter. Possibly. He attempts these feats alone as testament to the great difficulty he has in interacting with others.
